The China Exchange Programme aims to foster long-term research collaboration between the Netherlands and China by providing seed money for new cooperation. The programme supports the exchanges of junior researchers, short-term joint research projects, and a yearly themed summer school in all fields of science. This call is for grants for individual junior researchers who wish to conduct research or education to enrich their ongoing research project and to establish new connections.

A Dutch university or other publicly financed scientific research institute in the Netherlands represented by a junior researcher with the Dutch nationality. The Chinese host institute should resort under one of the three Chinese counterpart organizations (MoE, CAS, or CASS). Chinese researchers affiliated to CAS and CASS wishing to visit the Netherlands can apply directly to the relevant Chinese counterpart organisation for an individual visit. Chinese researchers affiliated to MoE wishing to visit the Netherlands can apply directly to the KNAW for an individual visit.

Kootstra- Talent Fellowship Programme (MUMC+) Internal, Personal 01-10-2017 Marco Berndes

DATA2PERSON - NWO National 1000 k€ 05-09-2017 Eva Rijkers

The focus of this programme is on the way in which Data Science can make a contribution to personalized health. Applications can be submitted on behalf of consortiums consisting of at least two academic departments from a research institute or institutes and one public or private partner that alone, or together with multiple private and public partners, meets the private/public matching criteria. The grant is a minimum of 250,000 euro and a maximum of 1 million euro. The total project costs are no less than 500,000 euro and no more than 2 million euro.

This call requires a significant amount of co-funding: The total contribution (in cash and in kind) of the public and/or private partner(s) amounts to a minimum of 30% of the total project costs, or a maximum of 50%. The in kind and in cash contribution of the private and public partner(s) both amount to no less than 15% of the total project costs. NWO is responsible for the rest of the project costs.
