This call supports the generation of innovative, industry-driven, pre-competitive R&D projects in the area of smart electronic systems. Projects should focus on smart sensors, smart power modules, electronic hardware platforms, and more generally, electronic product integration and embedded systems for automotive, aeronautics and space. Topics also include security, medical electronics, smart everywhere and industrial electronics.

H2020 FET-Open Challenging Current Thinking European 3000 k€ 16-05-2018 Willem Wolters

This supports projects that lay the foundations for radically new future technologies of any kind from visionary interdisciplinary collaborations that dissolve the traditional boundaries between sciences and disciplines, including the social sciences and humanities. Proposals may take the form of research and innovation actions, which require participation by at least three legal entities; each established in a different EU member state or Horizon 2020 associated country. Legal entities established in a third country, who secure their own funding, may be included in the consortia.

ZonMW BeNeFit National 3000 k€ 08-05-2018 Eva Rijkers

The aim of the call is to provide funding for clinical trials that compare the effectiveness of existing health care interventions that are already in use in a given indication, e.g. comparisons between two medications, medical therapy versus surgery, trials investigating optimal timing of surgery etc. The research should be pragmatic and practice-oriented. Each BeneFIT Trial should be of a non-commercial nature. The different treatment options that are compared in a BeNeFIT Trial should concern treatments that are (or have the potential of being) reimbursed by health care payers in Belgium and The Netherlands.

ECHO grants are for researchers active in chemistry. ECHO grants can be used to pursue a creative, risky idea and establish scientific innovation. NWO Chemical Sciences promotes research in the following three main research areas: - Chemistry of Life; - Chemistry of Materials; - Chemical Conversion. Applications can be submitted at any time between the publication of the call and May 1, 2018, 14:00 CEST. This item covers a set of calls that support projects that manage health and wellbeing while empowering the participation of citizens and facilitating the transformation of health and care services to more digitised, person-centred and community-based care models, thereby enabling better access to healthcare and the sustainability of health and care systems. Each successful proposal is expected to receive up to €15 million.
